Local resident Nick decided last year he wanted to bring back to our local community. Last year we did a shoe drive and it was very SUCCESSFUL!
This year the call to action is WINTER CLOTHING.New or gently used items we will be collecting on-site this Saturday (November 7th) from 12-3pm. There will be drop-off sites, to be announced. We are collecting rain gear, coats, jackets and sweatshirts. Nick will be donating these to Florence Better Living Center, Siuslaw Outreach, The Shalom. Have a community call to action you really want to coordinate? Message the brewery. We love helping with community projects.
We began to brew beer this week, we are now an officially licensed brewery!!
The federal licensing was done in October, and our state approval came in this week. All of us have been itching to get this project going. So as of today, Laurel Street in Florence smells LIKE BEER!!!
So, what exactly are we brewing???
It will all be out in the open by the grand opening on January 10th! Our VIP crew members will be the first to view and taste the brew. We have 20 members in our BREW CREW exclusive membership. This membership is the foundation of this project. We are so thrilled to have these people on our team, they have been an integral part of our local brewery happening.
This is what our VIP members receive as a founder of our brewery. Memberships close Dec 30TH, 2019. We will only have 25 members in total. This is exclusive, and vital to our brewery.
Community Support
Community support for this project has been astounding. People from all over the country, as well as our local community, have been helping us support our dream come true. From pledges to memberships we were able to raise over ten thousand dollars to get the brewery finished.
People have come by, called and have even sent snail mail.
We have been contacted by several news outlets, and we are excited to have an interview with newschoolbeer.com for the 2020s most anticipated breweries.
Brewery Grand Opening
We will be hosting a party at Homegrown Public House on Friday, January 10th starting at 4pm. Family and friends will be coming into town to celebrate the completion of this project. The entire public is invited, if you are coming from out of town, and need a place to stay, message us. We have several contacts in Florence, we can find you a place to stay.

ALL SALES FROM DEPOE BAY KEGS WILL BE DONATED TO THIS AMAZING CAUSE. We will post which kegs we will be bringing in, so stay tuned. We are not sure how long the kegs will last, so come in early in the month.
Funds will help pay for the Second Annual Holiday Tree of Joy Party for Florence families. This is a sensory safe environment that will include a dinner, presents for the kids, arts. The overall goal is to bring families together outside of their homes to enjoy fun, community event.
Shout out to our brew friends, Charlie, Jerome, Clary from Depoe Bay Brewing for helping us raise funds for this local charity. Depoe Bay has been a great supporter of our pub, WE ARE SO GRATEFUL for your partnership.
We LOVE COMMUNITY. As the word gets our around Florence about our desire to bring the community into the pub, we have been getting FUN projects.
We had our friends from petal+branch come to our patio for a FLOWER SALE! This was such a fun event. These beautiful flowers pretty much SOLD out in one small event.
With hosting fun events like this, we learn more about the people in our hometown. petal+branch is a small business ran by Peggy Bradley. They are a small but mighty little flower farm.
Peggy’s Bantam Farm and a budding floral studio, petal+branch. Peggy has always loved flowers, growing them, arranging them. Peggy’s venture seemed like the perfect way to incorporate that into something she could do to ignite her passion and bring joy to others. Peggy’s mother instilled her love for the outdoors, nature and growing things. Peggy says she feels like her mom is right alongside her on this journey.
Peggy is a recent graduate of the Floret workshop 2019. Floret is a preeminent flower farm and the remarkable owner has been a major influencer and leader in the slow flower movement. Just like our food, there is much interest in flowers being grown locally, ethically and sustainably. Here is a short video that talks about the new way of looking out where Peggy sources her flowers. https://youtu.be/PEXs9UUgqqg
Peggy will also be back at Homegrown for another flower sale, so STAY tuned to our Facebook page on when she will return. You can also catch up with Peggy on Facebook, Click Here to give her page a LIKE.
